1- MONTH DAILY POSTS TO DISCOURAGE DENOMINATIONS

INTRODUCTION TO I FEAR DENOMINATIONS
What you have written carries depth. Let me refine it into a clear, structured, academically toned message you can record as a Reel or longer teaching.
For clarity, no serious thinker can simply declare that denominations are inherently evil. Historically, denominations have functioned as organizational structures that preserved doctrine, sustained worship, and maintained missionary activity across generations. In that sense, they have often served a stabilizing purpose within Christianity.
However, denominations are not the final objective of faith. They are more comparable to first-aid systems within a larger health framework. First aid preserves life temporarily; it is not the hospital, and it is not the physician. In Christian theology, Christ Himself is the true Physician, and the life-giving power of the Spirit—seen profoundly in the Book of Acts—is the true environment of spiritual vitality.
Therefore, even when we observe structural limitations within denominational systems, the conclusion is not condemnation but progression. One must not mistake preservation for completion. Spiritual maturity requires movement.
This principle is evident in the ministry of Jesus. First-century Jews were already identified as the covenant people of God. They possessed Scripture, tradition, circumcision, and law. Yet when Christ came, He called individuals beyond inherited identity into living discipleship. Simon Peter, though already a Jew under the law, was called into a deeper dimension of relationship and mission.
In Mark 3:13–14, Jesus went up a mountain and called those He desired, and they came to Him. In Matthew 5:1–2, He ascended the hillside, and His disciples drew near before He delivered the Sermon on the Mount. The pattern is significant: ascent, invitation, response, instruction.
The implication is clear. At every stage of spiritual development, Christ calls His followers higher. Denominational belonging may provide structure, community, and doctrinal clarity—but it must never replace personal growth in Christ.
Wherever one worships, the essential question remains: Am I advancing? Am I responding when He calls me upward? Comfort at a common level should never substitute for continued transformation.
Denominations may serve a provisional role, but spiritual life cannot remain in provisional structures. The invitation is always upward.
Read carefully. Reflect deeply. And do not stop at the level where most people are comfortable.

30 DAYS: WHY DENOMINATIONS UNKNOWINGLY UNDERMINE GOD’S WILL
DAY 1 – God Never Created Denominations
πŸ“– 1 Corinthians 1:10
Thought: God created one Body, not brands. Denominations are man’s response to disagreements, not God’s design.
DAY 2 – Jesus Prayed for Oneness, Not Diversity of Labels
πŸ“– John 17:21
Thought: Jesus’ prayer was unity in truth—not fragmentation in names.
DAY 3 – The Church Was Known by Christ, Not by Founders
πŸ“– Acts 11:26
Thought: Early believers were called Christians, not after apostles or movements.
DAY 4 – Division Weakens Spiritual Authority
πŸ“– Matthew 12:25
Thought: A divided Church cannot fully manifest the Kingdom.
DAY 5 – Denominations Multiply Loyalties
πŸ“– 1 Corinthians 3:4–5
Thought: Loyalty to men competes with loyalty to Christ.
DAY 6 – When Doctrine Replaces Relationship
πŸ“– 2 Timothy 3:7 (KJV)  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Thought: Many know teachings but don’t know Christ Himself. Christianity is like a school. We are expected to be learning and transforming towards Christlikeness. Over 90% remain carnal or untransformed.
DAY 7 – Truth Became a Weapon Instead of a Bridge
πŸ“– Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Thought: Truth was meant to unite in love, not separate in pride.
DAY 8 – Sheep Are Trained to Defend Systems, Not the Kingdom
πŸ“– Matthew 6:33
Thought: Many believers defend denominations more than God’s reign.
DAY 9 – Spiritual Growth Becomes Permission-Based
πŸ“– Colossians 2:8
Thought: Systems sometimes limit what God wants to release.
DAY 10 – Denominations Create Doctrinal Territories
πŸ“– 2 Corinthians 10:3–5
Thought: The gospel was never meant to be territorialized.
DAY 11 – Paul Rebuked Denominational Thinking Early
πŸ“– 1 Corinthians 1:12–13
Thought: “I am of Paul” thinking grieves Christ.
DAY 12 – Gifts Are Filtered Through Tradition
πŸ“– Mark 7:13
Thought: Tradition can silence the Spirit.
DAY 13 – Denominations Train Believers to Compete
πŸ“– James 3:16
Thought: Competition breeds confusion, not Christlikeness.
DAY 14 – Revival Often Starts Outside Systems
πŸ“– John 3:8
Thought: God moves where He is free, not where He is boxed.
DAY 15 – The Kingdom Is Bigger Than Any Church Name
πŸ“– Romans 14:17
Thought: The Kingdom transcends doctrines, cultures, and logos.
DAY 16 – Denominations Can Replace Spiritual Discernment
πŸ“– Hebrews 5:14
Thought: Believers learn what to think, not how to discern.
DAY 17 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS Unity Was Meant to Evangelize the World
πŸ“– John 17:21, 23 (KJV)  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Good morning. Thanks for reading this write-ups. Your reading encourages me to write more.
Today is unique because world evangelization lies in our being one. All denominations, unknown to them, are trying to frustrate God in this.

Joshua was told to divide the Land among the twelve tribes. Each tribe would then raise an army that trust God enough to deliver their land to them. What did Joshua do?
Joshua 10:7 (KJV)  So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
About 11 times, it was recorded that Joshua went with all the men of war to take the land. This was the undoing of Joshua. It led to the way he ended.
Joshua 13:1 (KJV)  Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
The Church is doing a similar thing. This time, we are told to work together, but we now have divided ourselves into groups into tribes or denominations.
It was not so in the early Church. The Church in Ephesus was totally in agreement with the Churches in Galatia, in Colosse, in Philipi, etc on Christ.
The key is Christ in you, in your Church, in your village or city as the hope of glory (Col. 1:27). The work is to make everyone Christlike (Rom 8:29; Eph. 4:12-13).

I started in Lokoja by going from Church to Church. One day one Muslim man I know asked me at Cinema, New layout, Lokoja where I was going. I told him that I was going to 1st ECWA Church. "Is that your Church?" I said, "No." "Why are you going there?, he asked. I told him that they too are my brothers and sisters.  The man shook his head in unbelieve and said, "Christians are never united."
Even sinners know us. Can we apply breaks now and stop dividing our Father's house more and more. Mark 3:25
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. No vision or dream is enough to make you counter God's word in the Bible. Help share this to bring us to God's will.
Thought: Disunity confuses unbelievers.
DAY 18 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS Jesus Never Planted Churches—He Raised Disciples
πŸ“– Matthew 28:19 (KJV)  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:19 AMP
[19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
God's ways are different from man's. We easily twist God's ways into ours. We emphasize what He won't emphasize.

One day, when I was newly converted, I went into our Church (Foursquare Gospel Church, Ofiji, Idah, Kogi State, Nigeria) alone to pray. After kneeling down, I said to God, "I've come to your house."
I heard a reply, "You don't understand the Bible. Your body is My Temple, not this one built by hands."

Didn't God say that to David? Acts 7:48 (KJV)  Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
People are thinking that Cathedrals are precious to God. Many feel that a registered name is able to carry on God's work. Let them ask Uzzah who died by the ark (1 Chron 13). God's presence is carried by correct human beings and on correct human shoulders. See how they eventually carried the ark to Jerusalem in 1 Chron 15. Make disciples, not Church branches or institutions. Let nothing make you start another denomination.
Thought: Discipleship came before denominations.
DAY 19 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS Many Believers Inherit Faith Without Encounter
πŸ“– 2 Timothy 1:5 AMP
I remember your sincere and unqualified faith [the surrendering of your entire self to God in Christ with confident trust in His power, wisdom and goodness, a faith] which first lived in [the heart of] your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well.
Zacheaus in Lk 19, had an encounter when Jesus sighted him on a tree. He must have thought, how did He know that I am on the tree. He was yet to know Jesus who said, Luke 19:10 (KJV)  For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
He even looks for sinners on trees. He waylays them on the way to Damascus.
We can also know that encounter has stages.
1. It's more being happy to host Jesus and His Team.
2. It's more than cooking and serving Him and His Team.
3. It has to include forsaking of sins and sinful habits.
Luke 19:8 (KJV)  And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
It involves returning things stollen or corruption wealth (Lev. 6:1-5).

I didn't know that He was looking for me all these years till my vehicle killed a young girl at Ajaka, Kogi State, Nigeria, on 30th December 1991.

I was coming from Okene where I went to give bribes after I was paid for a contract I was doing then in Adogo. Corruption has been our way of live in Nigeria. I was very uneasy all the way to Okene the previous day. That uneasiness or fear made me sleep at Anyigba, at late Moses Edegbo Road's house.

People have worried about the turn of my life since then. Some tried to shake me out of this Jesus things. All failed because encounters are like God's magnets used to draw men eternally into God's side of life.

Did Jacob return to lukewarmness after Peniel where he fought with that Man that adjusted his life and speed in life? Encounters are God's way of hooking men towards Heaven. This is what denominations deprive people of. How can you deceive people into believing that registration on paper in the Church is equivalent to having their names in the Book of life?
Thought: Denominational culture can replace personal encounter. Help discourage formation of more denominations.
DAY 20 –WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS - Division Weakens Corporate Prayer
πŸ“– Acts 4:32 (KJV)  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
I was in a meeting of Foursquare Gospel Church Pastors around 1999 or year 2000 when I had to shout unashamedly when I came across Matthew 18:19 (KJV) Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
It was a shout of unbelief. How could God say that? I have been in Christian meetings where we had joined hands in prayer of agreement over issues. Most times, nothing we desired happened. How can God say that we can have anything we agree upon?

That morning, the Lord responded with only a short sentence. "You don't understand agreement."

I thought I did till He began to open my understanding. He began over time with simple illustrations like:
1. Languages
You understand each other by agreeing on meanings of words used. Without that agreement, communication is impossible.
2. He used Engineering world
What would happen if you use Beetle car break system for a trailer? What if you put Beetle tyre for a trailer? A vehicle is designed with all the various parts agreeing. The size determines the engine needed, the tyres needed, the break system to be used.

Denominations are signs of quiet arguments. You are not the owner of this. I'm the owner of that.
...neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own
We are different. We own our Church buildings and equipment in them. We own our plots of land. We have our own pastors and men of God. We don't share them, do we?
Thought: Power followed unity, not agreement alone. Real unity is more than verbal agreement. Billions are agreeing today to marry each other only to disagree on the way. Denominations outrightly thwarts God's will on earth. It's deliberate. Please share this to reduce the birth of more denominations.
DAY 21 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS:
The Early Church Had One Doctrine: Christ
πŸ“– Acts 2:42 (KJV)  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
There was no written New Testament Bible then. Their Bible Study in the Church was the stories of the apostles. It was called apostles' doctrine or apostles' teachings. There is no better Bible Study than hearing from those who had been with Him.

I wish I was there. I would have asked Peter what else happened at the transfiguration. I know they were sleepy. How did Moses and Elijah disappear? Was it gradually or suddenly? In what language were they speaking to Jesus? Hebrew or Greek? No Greek at the times of Moses and Elijah. Yet they might have spoken it. Can language be a problem to spiritual beings?

I read part of a book called, 'Martin Luther's Table Talk.' it was like apostles' teachings from a leader. This is why it is required in discipleship to be close to one's discipler. Some disciples under Bro. Gbile Akanni were recounting privileges of sleeping on the same bed with him.  No wonder that the Lord said that we would desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man.
Luke 17:22
And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
It has always been the desire of the saved to know the Man of Galilee more and more. Denominations are replacing Jesus with company or denominational names. Have you ever heard of the Catholic Doctrines? Catholics are no longer alone. Other denominations are emphasizing one area or the other to make themselves more and more relevant.

Why teach healings, deliverance, worship, theology instead of teaching Christ and Him crucified. It was the focus of Paul.
1 Corinthians 2:2
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

It was the focus for those Paul taught

.Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
The  Lord told us to see Him as the message. John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
He told us to learn Him. Matthew 11:29 (KJV)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
There is no better subject to learn. Help stop further emergence of more denominations so that we can still sight the Master.
Thought: Christ—not systems—was central.
DAY 22 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS: Denominations Can Train Fear of “Other Believers”
πŸ“– 1 John 4:18 (KJV)  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

How can you suspect a person and still love the person? Oh, the way dreams are interpreted by human knowledge and wisdom contrary to what Joseph said in Gen. 40:8 and what Daniel said in Dan 2:27-28. The way believers see enemies in the dream world is terrible.
They forget that their life is the same as the one in other believers in Christ. People still think of Christ as that White Jewish Man who lived about 2000 years in Canaan. He is no more looking like that. He demonstrated that over and over before leaving His immediate group behind.
1. On the way to Emmaus, He appeared different. His followers didn't know Him till His fruit showed and proved He was the One.
2. At the Sea of Tiberias, He looked so old that He called Peter and his fishing team, children. John 21:5 (KJV)  Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him,No.
Even when they came close, they just kept knowing Him by His fruit. He was so old in appearance.
John 21:12 (KJV)  Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

Do you know that your neighbour well? He or she might be Christ living near you in another form. To discern the body (2 Cor. 11:29) properly is to know that we are surrounded by littles jesuses every day.

Entertain them. They may be the angels the Bible says you may entertain unawares (HEB. 13:2).
Thought: Love recognizes Christ across lines. Denominations hinder true love of God. Encourage people not to form denominations.
DAY 23 – God Recognizes Sons, Not Membership Cards
πŸ“– Romans 8:14 (KJV)  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Imagine a person who had just died carrying his or her Church membership card and trying to open the Gate of Heaven. Imagine him or her shouting or insisting that the Gate be opened to him or her. Angels would be wondering at that level of delusion.

Does a child in a family need a membership card to be recognized? Does it happen even in a large family where there are many wives and children?

Your card in your house is the life you carry. Your card in Heaven, the real family you belong to after your conversion, is the life of Christ you carry.

Don't let anyone deceive with paper membership card. They have no spiritual value when it comes to your flight Home.
Thought: Heaven does not register denominations. Stop multiplying them, multiply disciples (Acts 6:1).
DAY 24 –WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS -The Spirit Was Given to the Whole Body
πŸ“– 1 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV)  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Good morning to every reader. I have underlined the word ALL in the above verse to help you see the point clearly. Baptism is from a Greek word, baptizo. It was not a spiritual word at that time. It simply meant immersion. Those dying clothes then use the word when they put clothes into the dye, the coloured liquid. The cloth then takes on the colour of the dye.

Once a piece of cloth has been lowered into the dye and left there for a while, the colour permeates the whole cloth. The colour remains with it or fades slowly. We are ALL baptized into Christ. You have been affected and I've been affected.

Who am I to tell you, believer in Christ, that you are not of Christ. On what basis are you telling me that I don't belong to Christ?
1 Corinthians 12:15-16 (KJV)  If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
It was easier when the Church was one per city and when leadership was per city.
Titus 1:5 (KJV)  For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Denominationalism scattered all that. We no longer have common leadership. One denomination ordains more mature men as elders. Others, for.want of hands,. ordain babes in Christ. It's difficult to know who has passed through Christ, the dye. Some said that they have passed through Him, but their colour and nature remain unchanged. See what undyed people do in Gal. 5:19-21.
  • Sexual Misconduct: Adultery, fornication, immorality, impurity, sensuality/lewdness.
  • Spiritual/Moral Failures: Idolatry, witchcraft/sorcery.
  • Relational Conflicts: Hatred, strife/quarreling, jealousy, fits of anger, selfish ambition/rivalries, dissensions, factions, envy.
  • Excessive Indulgence: Drunkenness, orgies/revelries.
  • Violent Actions: Murders.
πŸ“– Luke 9:49–50
Thought: Jesus rebuked sectarian thinking.
DAY 26 –.WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS - The Cross Unified What Doctrine Divided

πŸ“– Ephesians 2:14 (KJV)  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

When I came into Lokoja newly, I went into a new Church starting in a primary school. It was confusion on Sundays when every class is another denomination. Sometimes, some are praising or worshipping when we want to hear the word of God through our own man of God. One Sunday, I spoke to one of our own ushers, saying something like, "Let every group come out into the courtyard of the school so as to worship God together".

His answer came without any hesitation, "Who will take the offerings?"

I was surprised at his answer then. I didn't understand then that money is the underlying thing making many denominations come up.  Here are what Christ has done that could totally forbid forming of denominations:
1. Divine supply can come to you individually (Mt 7:7-8; Lk 11:5-11). Just be in His will and ravens can feed. Elijah, David can enter wealth by marrying Abigail and by capturing the Amelekites who attacked him at Ziklag, a fish that carries the needed coin can be caught. Solomon didn't form denominations before becoming wealthy. Those working for God at global levels see a lot more money then our Founders and General Overseers.
2. Another thing I believe is causing denomination is who speaks at the altar. Many want platforms to speak and that is good. Christ in the Greak Gommission made that desire easy to fulfill. The platform is the whole world.
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)  Go ye  therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
There are people everywhere to preach to. Go to any street in your neighbourhood and begin to sing and clamb your hands, children will gather. Treat them well and their mothers will come. Be Christlike to them and their husbands will come. Don't turn them into a denomination because denominators reduce figures. One divided by two is half. Two is a denominator. The same one divided by anything bigger than two makes each part less than half. Denominators in arithmetic are reducers.
3. Is it your gift that is making you want to begin your own Church denomination? Think again. It's a gift and the Giver has His terms.
1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV)  Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
He is begging you not to create division with it.
Philippians 2:1-2 (KJV)  If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Unity gives Him joy.
John 17:21, 23 (KJV)  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

The Giver prayed for unity. Not external unity, but that unity that makes one enter the other.
Denominationalism is contrary to this type of unity. Please comment and share to honour our Father here on Earth.
Thought: The Cross breaks and crushes every wall dividing us.
.....
DAY 27 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS
*Denominations Often Begin as Reforms
πŸ“– “You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?” — Epistle to the Galatians 5:7
Nobody starts a denomination at new birth. Every Founder or self-made General Overseer, was once a new convert in a Church denomination. He or she must have been zealous while in that group because most founders are likely to be among the best or the most faithful Church members.

We admit that you once ran well. You once believed in Christian unity and may have even preached against division before. Why did you change? Was it:
1. Ego?
2. Doctrinal extremism?
3. Impatience with growth?
4. Unresolved conflict?

We also know this, that most denominations start with the vision to help everyone. You didn't start to block some people's way to Heaven  The first General Overseer, Jeroboam, was faithful to Solomon and was good at the beginning.
1 Kings 11:28 (KJV)  And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.

It later that fear and ego crippled him.
1 Kings 12:26-30 (KJV)  And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David:
If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.
Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
And he set the one in Beth-el, and the other put he in Dan.
And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.

That Jeroboam be the leader of the ten tribes tnorthern was God's idea. Their wrong worship was not His idea. It was Jeroboam's.
Thought: Many movements began right but froze in time. Human and demonic ideas always come to 'polish' God's work in the hands of the Founders. That's why I fear denominations. You should fear it too. Advise against our splitting more than this. Comment to make us know your take and share this to keep the unity of the body of Christ.
........
Are you happy with the way the Church of God is so divided? Do you really think that multiplying denominations is doing God's work? Peter said the opposite in Acts 3:20-21.
DAY 28 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS - God Is Restoring Apostolic Christianity
πŸ“– Acts 3:20-21 (KJV)  And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

I am not saying any of the followings:
1. All denominations are evil.
2. Every doctrinal difference is rebellion.
Some separations historically occurred to preserve truth.
I am only saying that forming new groups over minor issues contradicts the spirit of restoration.
According to these verses, Jesus is presently in heaven. After His resurrection and ascension, Christ remains in heaven.. There is a divine timetable. History is moving toward a God-ordained moment called “the restoration of all things.” Restoration is God’s work, not man’s invention.
The prophets foretold a time when God would restore what sin scattered—truth, righteousness, order, and unity under Christ.
Christ returns at God’s appointed season
Not when denominations multiply, but when God’s redemptive plan reaches fulfillment.

1. Restoration Is God’s Agenda — Not Fragmentation
If God’s ultimate plan is restoration, then continual division works against that trajectory. Denominational multiplication often comes from:
Personal offense
Doctrinal pride
Cultural preferences
Leadership ambition
But Acts 3:21 shows God is restoring, not endlessly subdividing.

“If heaven is holding Christ until the restoration of all things, then the Church on earth must align with restoration—not division.”
2. Unity Is Prophetic, Division Is Reactionary. Peter connects restoration to “what the prophets spoke.” That means unity is not a modern ecumenical idea—it is prophetic. See John 17:21 – Jesus prayed “that they may all be one.”
Ephesians 4:3–6 – “One body… one Spirit… one Lord… one faith…”
Acts 3:21 shows:
Unity is future-oriented. Division is often flesh-driven.
3. The Church Must Reflect the Future Now. If restoration is coming, the Church should model it early.
Instead of:
“We differ; let us separate.”
We should ask:
“How do we preserve truth while maintaining oneness?”

Acts 3:21 reveals that heaven holds Jesus until the restoration of all things. If restoration is God’s prophetic agenda, then division cannot be our pattern. The Church must not multiply denominations over preferences or pride. Instead, we must align with Christ’s mission of gathering, healing, and restoring His Body into visible unity.

Thought: Restoration is not rebellion—it’s obedience. Like share to work towards unity of the body of Christ in our generation.
..........
Many are thinking that they are standing on the foundation laid by Christ while they are not. Why don't they know? It's because foundations are always covered. Yet ignorance about foundations may make it even harder to mend cracks in the walls. Denominations are cracks.
.........
DAY 29 – WHY I FEAR DENOMINATIONS -Unity Does Not Mean Uniformity
πŸ“– Ephesians 4:3-6 (KJV)  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Most of us depend on the National Electricity Supply Grid for our power needs. How we use the power in our homes and offices differ greatly. How our appliances use power also differ greatly. Fans turn, televisions project images, radio sets send out sounds, cookers turn the same electric power to heat while air-conditioners just cool down the temperature. You can know if you belong to God's family on Earth by considering the following 7 factors.

God has called us to depend on one source of power, His own power. We are called into one body or one group.
1. ONE BODY
Yet I was told to resign if I cannot forget the general body of Christ and labour only for the denomination I was serving then. My Church council members wanted me to ask for time to pray over the decision on whether to continue with the denomination or resign. I saw no need to pray over suc a clear matter. It was why I resigned.
2. ONE SPIRIT
We are called into one Spirit - the Spirit of Christ.  This is the same Spirit that moved over the distorted earth in Genesis 1. He did restoration work then. Is He still hovering over the Church? He wants to return us to our original shape as it was in the Acts of the Apostles. He wants unity. Therefore to form denominations may be walking out of His influence and control. All those who join you maybe at risk when their works would be tested on the Judgment Day.

1 Corinthians 3:11-16 (KJV)  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
3. ONE HOPE
Our hope too is one. That is the hope that the King is coming back for us. Are that of that hope?
4. ONE LORD
Another factor of our unity is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is not your Lord if you are bent on dividing His body. Please discern the body or face His judgment.

1 Corinthians 11:29 (KJV)  For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

5. ONE FAITH
This is not faith to receive healing or money. This is talking about faith in Christ for salvation from the devil, from the world, from Hell. The Church is worldly today because some are self-deceived. They think that they are saved while they still roam in the world. Faith in Christ has always transformed people. It turned Paul into a minister.

Acts 26:16
But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

This is God's principle in saving men. Lack of education can't stop it. See Peter. Much learning can't hinder it. See Paul.

How can you claim to be standing on the foundation laid by Christ when you are led by another spirit? God's Spirit never encourage division.

6. ONE BAPTISM
This is not about sprinkling or immersion. The question is, are you inside or outside Christ? Clothes that have been immersed in dye change colour eternally. What is your colour? Has Christ life become yours?

ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL
This the last test. Is God your Father? He is my Father. I wanted to wait for a leader  in the compound of a denomination where I had served before. This happened in Abuja. They told me that the man was going to come back to the office and I needed to see him. Yes, it was their closing time. I was not allowed to wait in their Father's compound. I think they forgot that their Father is my Father. Or are we not children of the same Father?

I rest my case here. I fear denominations
Please suspect any spirit asking you to start a denomination. Help in the work of God on earth by discouraging the creation of more denominations.

Please tell me your mind on this. We are told to endeavour to keep unity.

Ephesians 4:3-6 (KJV)  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Sharing this maybe your effort to keep the unity.
Thought: One Spirit, many expressions—no divisions.

DAY 30 – The Call Back to One Body
πŸ“–1 Corinthians 12:27 (KJV)  Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Now? Now then in the days this epistle was written and the now remains to our day. You are of the body of Christ even now. What of your denominational membership? Don't misunderstand God.
When I was leaving the Church I pastored last, some of the Church members requested that I start my own so that they join me. I know they didn't know better. I can understand Church members talking like that, but a real leader must correct them.

It was what Paul did when some were sticking to him while other were gumming to Peter and Apollos.

1 Corinthians 3:4-7 (KJV)  For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

How many leaders are willing to debase themselves in our day? It was Jesus who died for them (Church members). It was Jesus who was raised from the dead. Who is Paul? Who is Apollos?

The future Church will be relational, not denominational. Thank God that another revival has come. Correct leaders will emerge again. God's place and role won't be take by any man of God. When I was a student, reading architecture,.I used to do vacation jobs in Kaduna. The firm I was working for was supervising a residential house for a General in the army. While the house was being furnished, we were able to go in and out at will. The moment the own packed in, who were we to come near the house? It's like that in revival. When the scena glory fill the house, even priests will not be able to enter.
