CHILDREN THAT YOU HAVE BY OTHER WOMEN WILL DO YOU NO GOOD

Children that you have by other women will do you no good. Prov. 5:16 GNT

Every treasure is protected. Every woman is a treasure and every treasure is kept under locked bars and under the protection of security men. God has a way of catching all that break in to loot treasures. Therefore everyone that enters a woman that is not his wife has entered wrongly and the serpent is permitted to bite such. The book of Proverbs has a catalogue of evils that befall men who commit formication or adultery. They can be forced to marry the lady, they can be stoned (Deut. 22) and they can be given children that do not help them at all. Those of us who grew up in polygamous families know that some of the wars can knock out the name of the family.  

The rules are different if the children get born again and begin to follow Jesus. Conversion to Christianity without denying self or discipleship is not enough. Such children can still cause wars in the family.

Ishmael was not useful to Abraham. In fact, the Ishmaelites are the same as the children of the bond woman that are fighting Christians today. The children of Gilead ganged up against their brother, Jephthah, that was born by another woman who was a harlot. The boy came back later to rule over them. You can imagine how those bigger children felt and lived under Jephthahs government. Another boy born by another woman to Gideon, killed all his other brothers - except one that escaped. 

1He killed all the seventy brothers on one stone. There was no love or feeling. 

Who was David's son by the first wife? Michal, the first wife of David, had no child for him (2 Sam. 6:23). It was Anmon that was David's first son. The devil made that young man have sex with his half-sister, Tamar. The result was terrible. There was no pity. Abslom killed Anmon because of what he did to his sister, Tamar. Out of fear, Absalom ran into exile for years and after he returned, he pursued his father out of the throne. Absalom later died. That was not the end of problems in David's family. Adonijah usurped power. David got to know and promptly appointed Solomon as King. Adonijah was still planning to get power and so Solomon had to get him killed. There was no love in the family.

This is why God will never have children by another man's wife. Paul said this in RM 7:1-6.

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 

6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 

Human nature is a husband. When he moves a motion, no human being can veto. His will is final. That is why he has enslaved some human beings to do one form of sin or the other. Some fornicate, some simply lust after material things to the extent that they rob and kill. Some worship idols ad some simply operate in anger like Moses. Some sins are obviously sinful while others are looking like ‘good sins’. For instance, many men of God and many Elders get angry at Council meetings without knowing that anger is part of the fruit of the spirit in Gal. 5:19-21. 

In recent times in Nigeria we hear of mighty men of God who end up getting all their children or works collected by their real husbands. We hear of one scandal after another and one feels as if it was mistake, thinking that the work was ever God's. Children born to you by another woman do not bless you. 

Again, let me remind you of what I said at the beginning. Such children can greatly bless you if they are born of God. I have children from two women and the children are blessing me and will bless me and my generations. There shall be no wars within the family.

This should serve as a warning to men and women. Gods laws are meant for your good. You cannot escape reaping what you sow. Every sinner must be punished.
