ANOTHER LETTER TO MY SON, VICTOR ON 18.5.23

I've been praying for you and as a result I've been feeling that I should write to show you prons and cons of alcohol. I've been hesitant so as to be sure that the urging from God and to pray more for you (talk to God) before talking to you about God.

Why not? Offences are everywhere. Yet God blames those who cause offence, not those who are offended.

Matthew 18:7

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Luke 17:1

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

 And I've been the cause for many offences. Titi told me that she had to forgive me before feeling free to relate with me as a father. I was happy she did. Why?

1. The devil can't use that to frustate her. 

2. She is free to have God on her side and pray to Him

3. Her prayers can be heard and answered. Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV)  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

You can do what Titi and others did and are relating well with me. Please forgive me. I'm on your side. I'm praying for you. I'm wishing you well. I desire that even our sufferings turn to make you a greater man. 

When I insist that you cut away from sin, it is for your good. It is because I know the following to be true:

1. God can't give you important /valuable things while you are in sin. Matthew 7:6 (KJV)  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

2. No real peace for you outside God's perfect way.Isaiah 48:22

There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

Isaiah 57:21

There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

3. If there appears to be peace and prosperity, don't trust it. Psalms 37:35-36 (KJV)  I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

I want a good end for you. I wonder why you are taking alcohol. Let us see the gains and the losses of your consuming alcohol.

1. NOT FOR A WISE MAN LIKE YOU. YOU ARE TOO FOCUSED TO BE SO DIVERTED. Proverbs 31:3-9 (KJV)  Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:

Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

2. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO FORGET? HOW CAN YOU LOSE SENSE OF WHERE YOU ARE AND WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOU PER TIME?

Proverbs 23:29-35 (KJV)  Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?

They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.

Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.

Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.

Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.

They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.

No need to say more. Even our pagan blood relatives back home are not deceived by alcohol? On your mother's side? See the damage alcohol did to Daniel, Ogwu's senior brother. How can you be aiming so high and so low at the same time. How can you carry a time bomb on your body on such an important plan you have for your future?

I love you enough to tell you the truth. You may even decide to hate me more. I've only one aim - to love you and to ever give you a righteous foundation in God. I became poor to enable you attain great heights just like Abram left his people and made it possible for David, Solomon and other great names to be possible. 

I'm explaining things so that the enemy won't succeed in making you misunderstand things around my life.
