It is not every verse that is dangerous in our following of Jesus. This one is tricky. Why? It is the natural that has always come first,  not the spiritual.  1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. You first followed human beings (parents, friends, teachers, etc). This can be why following Jesus is hard for you. It is the natural that comes first. It can be why following your Church denomination is tending to be more than following Jesus.  For years, I tended to follow my own thinking instead of asking the Lord.
